INDIANAPOLIS – With the release of the Horizon League's ESPN programming schedule for the 2018-19 season, Northern Kentucky women's basketball's broadcast schedule is nearly complete. Twenty-four games this year will be digitally broadcast either between ESPN+, ESPN3 or a nonconference opponent's all-access package.
Nine of NKU's games this season will be carried on ESPN3, while 14 will be carried on ESPN+, the latter which can be accessed through the ESPN App. The ESPN App is available on multiple devices including smart phones, computers, tablets, game consoles and streaming devices. Service costs $4.99 per month or $49.99 for an annual subscription.
Six of NKU's 10 nonconference contests have confirmed digital streams. The Norse will broadcast all of their home games through ESPN, with Alderson Broaddus (Nov. 7) and Belmont (Nov. 21) on ESPN+ while Illinois State (Dec. 7) will be on ESPN3. Of the nonconference away games, Kent State will carry its Nov. 17 game against the Norse on ESPN3 and Austin Peay's Nov. 26 tilt with NKU is scheduled for broadcast on ESPN+. Additionally, Providence will carry its Dec. 20 game through Friars All-Access. A broadcast for the Dec. 15 game at Louisville is yet to be announced.
During the Horizon League slate, all 18 games of the regular season will be carried on either ESPN+ or ESPN3. The Horizon League Championship, which will be held on campus sites for the quarterfinals on March 5-6 before moving to Little Caesars Arena in Detroit for the semifinals and finals on March 11-12, will also be carried through either ESPN+ or ESPN3 with the championship game broadcast on ESPNU.
The Norse kick off the 2018-19 season with an exhibition game against Pikeville on Sunday, Nov. 4. Tip-off is slated for 2 p.m. ET at BB&T Arena.
