HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky's women's tennis will play Arkansas State in a neutral-site match on Friday, Feb. 2. The Norse and the Red Wolves will square off in Lexington, Kentucky, with a 12:30 p.m. first serve.
NKU opened up the season against the two Power Five institutions from the Bluegrass, falling 4-0 to No. 21 Kentucky and 7-0 to Louisville. Early in the season, NKU has seen
Margita Sunjic return to the top of the lineup, while newcomers
Maria Koo and
Taylor Culbertson have been holding down the No. 2 and 3 singles spots, respectively. Koo and Culbertson also team up in the top flight of doubles for the Norse.
Arkansas State has had a busy January with six matches in the past two weeks, falling in all six contest. The Red Wolves have only scored points in one match, a 4-2 setback to Southern Miss on Jan. 19. A-State is coming off a 4-0 clinch loss to Central Arkansas on Sunday afternoon.
