LAST TIME OUT
The Norse fell to UC on Tuesday by a final score of 5-3. The Bearcats hit a three-run walkoff homer in the ninth inning to get the victory. Brody Basilone pitched five scoreless innings, and Kyle Service came out of the bullpen and didn't allow a run in two innings on the mound. Nolan Rattai was 2-for-4 at the plate with two RBI, and TJ Marik went 2-for-4 with a run scored. Will Haueter also had two hits in the game.
 
SCOUTING LIPSCOMB
Lipscomb is 3-5 on the year. After winning their first two games of the year, the Bisons have won just one game in the past six outings. The team most recently fell to Tennessee Tech by a score of 27-7.
 
The Bisons are led by Zeke Dodson at the plate. He has started in all eight contests and is batting .423 on the year with 11 hits, five runs, four RBI, two doubles, two homers, and a triple.
 
On the mound, Chris Kachmar has started two games and pitched 11 innings. He has a 1.64 ERA with 13 strikeouts so far this season. Noah Thompson has also made two starts on the mound, and he has a 1-1 record with a 2.16 ERA.

NKU head coach Todd Asalon is in his 18^th season at the helm of the Norse baseball program. He has a 519-463-1 record at NKU and a 663-555-1 overall record.
 
 
TAKING A LOOK AT THE STATS 
Will Haueter leads the team in batting average, as he is hitting at a .481 clip. Haueter has 13 hits, nine RBI, four runs scored, four homers, and two doubles. He is also on a seven-game hitting streak and has a 1.000 slugging percentage. Jake Richmond is batting .368 on the year with seven hits, five runs, four RBI, three doubles and two home runs, and Mike Moffatt is on a five-game hitting streak.
 
On the mound, Brody Basilone hasn't allowed a run in a team-high 8.1 innings pitched. He has a 1-0 record and has struck out eight batters on the season. Sam Williams, Nick Beard, and Pat Kelley have all started two games this season, and Cameron Ross is also tied for a team-high in innings pitched at 8.1.
