@NKUNorseXCTF opens outdoor slate at Butler

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky.- The Northern Kentucky University men's and women's track and field squads will open its outdoor season at the Stan Lyons Invitational hosted by Butler University.
 
The meet
  • The Stan Lyons Invitational will take place at the Davey Track and Field on the campus of Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana.
  • The one-day meet will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday with field events. Track events will follow at 1 p.m.
  • The Norse will face competition from Ball State, Indiana University, along with Horizon League foes Wright State and IUPUI among others.
The outdoor schedule
  • Northern Kentucky is scheduled to compete in nine outdoor track and field meets.
  • The schedule is highlighted by trips to the Raleigh Relays hosted by North Carolina State (March 30-31), the Jesse Owens Classic hosted by Ohio State (April 20-21) and the Lenny Lyles/Clark Woods Invitational hosted by Louisville (April 27.-18).
  • The season will come to a crescendo May 4-6 at the Horizon League Outdoor Championships hosted this year by Oakland Univeristy.
Up next for the Norse
  • Following the Stan Lyons Invitational the Norse will return to action March 30-31 with both men's and women's student-athletes competing at the Raleigh Relays hosted by North Carolina State and the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational hosted by Cincinnati.
