NKU Track and Field earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Awards

NEW ORLEANS, La. – Northern Kentucky University Norse men's and women's track and field programs both earned United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic honors for the 2026 season, announced by the association on Monday.

"I'm very proud of our track team members for their hard work in the classroom as well as on the track," said Norse head coach Steve Kruse. "They are a proud and hard-working group. I also want to thank our academic advisors for rising to the challenge of working with our fine young women & men to assist them toward their academic goals. This was a total team effort."

The women's team posted a cumulative GPA of 3.54, while the men's squad tallied a 3.19 GPA to earn the academic accolade. It marked the 25th consecutive year that the women's program earned the distinction, and the 14th straight year for the men's squad.

To be eligible for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team award, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period.
