Eleven Norse qualify for Sunday finals, four earn points on day two of #HLTF Outdoor Championships

ROCHESTER, Mich. – Northern Kentucky University Norse track & field continued competition at the Horizon League Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday, with a full slate of preliminary races ahead of Sunday's finals. Eleven Norse punched their tickets to the final rounds, while four Norse earned points in the long jump, decathlon, steeplechase, and shot put. 

NOTABLES (MEN)
Josh Brockman notched a sixth-place finish in the Decathlon, earning three points for the Norse. Brockman posted top-five finishes in three of Saturday's five decathlon events, including a fourth-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles (15.99) and a fourth-place finish in the javelin (39.94m). 
Nathan Ruth recorded a personal best and finished in sixth in the 3000-meter Steeplechase, finishing in 9:21.50, the second-best time of any underclassman. 
Camden Pawlick earned a spot on the podium for the second time at the meet, as he finished eighth in the shot put with a best throw of 14.73m. 
Branton Koroly moved on to the 400-meter hurdles finals with a qualifying time of 56.72, the sixth-fastest. 
Brayden Holland advanced to the 800m final, recording the seventh-fastest time as he ran a 1:54.08. 
Bash Hedger earned a spot in the 100-meter final after running an 11-flat in the prelims, the seventh-fastest time overall. 

NOTABLES (WOMEN)
Kierra Morris notched an eighth-place finish in the long jump with a best leap of 5.53 meters, earning a point for the Norse. 
Cameron Bitterman led all runners in the 200-meter dash as she finished in 24.55 seconds. Bitterman also posted the third-fastest time in the 400m prelims, running a 56.40. 
Meredith Goff finished in sixth in the 200m prelims, punching a ticket in tomorrow's final. She also earned a spot in the 100m final with a time of 12.15, more specifically 12.141, as she bested the ninth-place runner by two-thousandths of a second.
Sierra Kendall moved on to the 400-meter hurdles finals, pacing the field by nearly two seconds as she ran a 1:01.94. She'll be joined by fellow Norse Katlyn Pham in the final, as she finished in fifth with a time of 1:04.52.
Olivia Kennedy will also be a top seed, as she paced the field with a qualifying time of 2:13.37 to move on to Sunday.
