HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky University baseball team will host Wright State this weekend for a Horizon League series. The teams will play a doubleheader on Friday beginning at 1 p.m. and a single game on Saturday at 1 p.m. Friday's games will be broadcasted on ESPN3, and all of the contests will have live stats.

LAST TIME OUT
NKU traveled to Youngstown State for a Horizon League series this past weekend and went 1-2. The Norse fell in the first two games by scores of 3-1 and 9-2, before winning the series finale on Sunday, 12-5. In the final game,
Andrew Bacon went 3-for-6 with two RBIs and two runs scored. He also hit his first collegiate home run.
Griffin Doersching was 3-for-3 at the plate with a home run and two runs scored.
Joe Martin got the win on the mound, and he didn't allow a hit over the final 2.1 innings of the contest.
SCOUTING WRIGHT STATE
The Raiders enter the contest at 13-9 overall and 4-2 in the Horizon League. Peyton Burdick leads the team in batting average among qualified hitters at .330. He has 29 hits, 22 runs, 17 RBI, four doubles, a triple, and a home run. JD Orr is hitting .303 on the year with 23 hits, 16 runs, 10 RBI, a double and a triple.
On the mound, the Raiders have an ERA of 4.11 as a team. Zane Collins leads Wright State with six starts. He has a 4.73 ERA in 32.1 innings pitched. Jason Foster and Jeremy Randolph each have 11 appearances on the mound this season. Foster has an ERA of 2.25, and Randolph's ERA is 2.60.

Andrew Bacon is hitting .364 on the year. He has 12 hits, eight runs scored, four RBIs and homer.
Will Haueter is batting at a .355 clip with 27 hits, 15 RBIs, 11 runs scored, six doubles, five homers and a triple.
Joe Martin has a 2-1 record on the mound this season with a 5.40 ERA. He also leads NKU with nine appearances.
Cameron Ross leads the Norse with a 3.58 ERA, and he also has 30 strikeouts in 32.2 innings pitched, which are both the top marks on the team.
