HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky University baseball team will play Miami (Ohio) in a three-game weekend series, beginning on Friday at 3 p.m. The first two games of the series will be played at Miami, with the Sunday game serving as the home opener for the Norse.
Fans attending Sunday's game at Bill Aker Baseball Complex will need to park in the Kenton Drive Garage. After the contest, fans should let the parking attendant know that they attended the baseball game. The parking attendant will then charge $5, rather than the full hourly rate.

The Norse picked up an 8-6 victory over No. 6 Kentucky on Wednesday.
Sam Williams earned the win on the mound. He pitched five innings, allowing just three hits and two runs (one earned), while striking out five batters.
Joe Martin earned the save on the mound, and he struck out the final two batters that he faced in the contest.
Jake Richmond hit a grand slam in the game, and
Chad Roberts added a solo home run to help lead the Norse to victory. This marked the second time that the NKU baseball program has defeated a ranked team since its move to Division I. The first was also against Kentucky. NKU defeated the then No. 12 Wildcats on March 29, 2016, by a final score of 5-4.
SCOUTING MIAMI
The RedHawks are off to an 8-3 start on the year, and they are currently on a six-game winning streak. Miami recently picked up a series sweep against Rider, winning by scores of 5-1, 2-1, and 6-0. Will Vogelgesang leads the team with a .378 batting average. He has 14 hits, five runs and two RBI on the season. Vogelgesang is the only Miami hitter batting over .300 so far this season.
On the mound, the RedHawks sport a team ERA of 3.32. Spencer Mraz leads the squad with a 0.73 ERA in three appearances, which includes two starts. Zach Spears and Bailey Martin have each made three starts on the mound for Miami this season, and they have an ERA of 2.35 and 3.86, respectively.

Will Haueter leads the team in batting average among qualified hitters at .354. He also leads the team in hits (17), RBI (10), home runs (5), and doubles (4).
Dominic Mercurio is right behind Haueter with a .351 average. He has 14 hits, six runs scored, four RBI, and two doubles on the season.
Jake Richmond has a batting average of .314 with 11 hits, eight runs scored, eight RBI, three homers and three doubles.
Mike Moffatt is hitting at a .311 clip, and he is currently on a 10-game hitting streak.
