@NKUNorseTennis women face Dayton on the road

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky women's tennis will have another tune-up match before taking on a pair of Horizon League foes over the weekend, making the short trip to Dayton, Ohio to square off with the Flyers. First serve is slated for 1 p.m.

The Norse are coming off a 2-0 weekend in the Horizon League, blanking Green Bay on Saturday afternoon before a 4-3 decision over Milwaukee. Margita Sunjic, Maria Koo and Hannah Watton all went undefeated in singles play, with Watton providing a key clinching point against the Panthers with a 6-0, 6-4 win in the No. 5 spot. The Norse doubles also shone over the weekend with NKU taking all of the doubles matchups against their opponents. Sunjic was recognized as the Horizon League Singles Player of the Week following her dominant performances in the top flight, winning her seventh-straight singles match to move to 5-0 against League opponents.

Wednesday's match will be the final contest of the regular season for the Flyers, who head into the Atlantic 10 Tournament in two weeks. Dayton holds a 13-7 record overall and is 3-1 in A-10 action. NKU will be the fifth Horizon League team that the Flyers face this season, having previously defeated Cleveland State, Wright State, IUPUI and Milwaukee. Marlys Bridgham holds down the top spot in the lineup with a 6-11 record, and Mattea Kilstofte has been a force in the No. 2 spot with a 12-6 mark for the Flyers.
