HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky women's soccer team closed out the preseason portion of its schedule with a 2-1 win over Lindsey Wilson on Tuesday evening. The teams played three 25-minute periods.
"Tonight was an outstanding session for us," said head coach
Bob Sheehan. "Sam (Duwel) and Emily (Soltes) combined again for a quality first goal, and Megan (Patrick) found Ally (Perkins) wide, who delivered a terrific serve to Ella (Holland). She finished nicely for the second goal. Our starting defensive group of Taylor (Spaulding), Lily (Menssen), and Hannah (Fischer) were strong again tonight. We were able to get all of our players good minutes against a quality opponent. Overall, a terrific night for us. We would also like to thank NAIA national power Lindsey Wilson for traveling to play us tonight."
