HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky's women's basketball fans will get a first look at the Norse on Thursday, Oct. 31, as the Norse host Davis & Elkins for an exhibition game at 7 p.m. ET. Young fans are encouraged to come Trick or Treat with the Norse as Northern Kentucky student-athletes will be handing out treats on the concourse starting at 6 p.m. Children ages 12 and under who attend the game in their Halloween costumes will receive free admission to the game.

- The Norse return 91.1 percent of their scoring from a season ago, including all five starters.
- Northern Kentucky finished the regular season with a four-game winning streak, and also won its last six home contests.
- Redshirt-senior guard Molly Glick was named to the Preseason All-Horizon Leauge Second Team after averaging 10.0 points per game, including a team-high 1.89 3-pointers per game.
- Sophomore guard Ally Niece was named to the 2019 Horizon League All-Freshman Team, averaging 12.1 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game in league play. Niece ranked in the top-10 of all league players in 3-point field goal percentage (second – 39.7%), free-throw percentage (third – 81.5%), assists per game (third) and points per game (ninth).
- The Norse were picked to finish sixth in the Horizon League Preaseaon Poll, matching last season's prediction. NKU finished league play with a 10-8 mark to tie for fifth, marking the best finish since joining the Horizon League.
- Janna Lewis joins the team after transferring from Motlow State Community College, where she earned NJCAA All-America Second Team honors with 22.7 points and 11.3 rebounds per game. In just two seasons at Motlow State, she netted 1,153 points, 585 rebounds and 102 assists.
- The Norse also welcome three freshmen for the 2019-20 season: Carissa Garcia, Tayah Irvin and Ivy Turner.
- Garcia is a 5-foot-7 guard out of Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was named the 2019 Tiffany Gooden Award for the most outstanding player in the Summit Athletic Conference and capped off her career as an Indiana All-Star, averaging 15.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.1 steals per game.
- Irvin, a 6-foot-2 forward, joins the Norse from Fishers, Indiana. Irvin was heralded as the top defensive player for the Royals and shot 46.0 percent from the field during her career.
- Turner is a 5-foot-5 guard from Danville, Kentucky. She was named the 12th Region Co-Player of the Year and all-area player of the year and is the Admirals' all-time leading scorer with 2,505 career points. Turner averaged over 25.9 ppg and 8.0 rpg as a senior, including three 40-point performances.
SCOUTING DAVIS & ELKINS: The Senators are coming off a 9-19 season, including 7-15 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. Davis & Elkins returns two starters, Jamiyah Johnson and Jay Kilpatrick. Johnson finished the season averaging 8.9 points and 7.9 rebounds per game, shooting 55.1 percent from the field. Kilpatrick added 7.9 ppg and 2.4 rpg. Ten of the Senators' 14 players on the roster are underclassmen, with Kilpatrick being the lone senior on the squad. Despite their record, the Senators surrendered 62.6 points per game while scoring 60.7 ppg. The team also outrebounded opponents, 35.3-34.3, and forced 17.4 turnovers per game. Davis & Elkins joined the Mountain East Conference this season, and the team was picked to finish ninth in the preseason poll.
