CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky women's tennis moved to 2-3 on the season with a 5-2 victory over Saint Francis (Pa.), taking down the Red Flash at Five Seasons Sports Club.
Match Notables
- Saint Francis found itself down one player, leading to Norse victories by walkover in No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles.
- Maria Koo and Taylor Culbertson moved to 4-1 on the season, taking down Lucia Seigford and Raksha Bode in No. 1 doubles, 6-4. The Norse also saw a win in No. 2 doubles from Margita Sunjic and Autumn Clark, who defeated Stephanie Miller and Laura Gutierrez, 6-3.
- Elizabeth Rozin recorded the first singles win, defeating Romina Cutipa in a pair of 6-2 sets in No. 5 singles. Maria Koo followed with a 6-0, 6-2 victory over Seigford in the No. 2 spot and Sunjic clinched the match with her 6-3, 6-1 victory over Gutierrez in the top flight.
NKU remains at Five Seasons for its next contest when it hosts nearby opponent Dayton on Saturday, Feb. 16. First serve against the Flyers is set for 5 p.m. ET.
