@NKUNorseXCTF set for the Kentucky Open

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky.- The Northern Kentucky University men's and women's track and field teams will take a short trip south to Lexington, Kentucky, on Saturday for the Kentucky Open.
 
The meet
  • The meet will take place at the UK Track & Field Complex on the campus of the University of Kentucky.
  • Saturday's action will begin at 10 a.m. (ET) with the men's/women's javelin and hammer throw.
  • The Norse will face competition from Cincinnati, Louisville, Ball State and Horizon League rival Milwaukee. 
Last time out
  • Northern Kentucky last competed at the Ball State Challenge in Muncie, Indiana, April 12-13.
  • For the men, Alec Sandusky racked up a win and new personal best in the 5,000m, clocking in at 14:49.21.
  • On the women's side, Kimmy Wolfe found the podium in the 3,000m steeplechase, crossing the finish line at 11:46.31.

  • The Norse will return to action at the Lenny Lyles/Clark Woods Invitational hosted by Louisville, April 26-27.
