@NKUNorseWSOC picked to finish second in Horizon League

INDIANAPOLIS – The Horizon League released its 2019 women's soccer preseason poll on Tuesday afternoon. Northern Kentucky was picked to finish second in the poll, receiving 79 points.

Four-time defending Horizon League champion Milwaukee was picked to win its fifth consecutive championship this year, garnering 90 points and eight first-place votes. Cleveland State, coming in at third, was the only other team to receive first-place votes and finished just behind the Norse in voting with 73 points. IUPUI, Wright State and Oakland followed the Vikings with 64, 61 and 59 points, respectively. Rounding out the poll was UIC, Detroit Mercy, Youngstown State and Green Bay.

NKU's regular season opens on Thursday, August 22 when they play Lipscomb on the road in Nashville, Tennessee. The match starts at 7:00 p.m. and will be streamed on YouTube.
