MIAMISBURG, Ohio – Northern Kentucky women's tennis wrapped up its opening weekend of competition with a 6-1 win over Dayton. The Norse move to 1-1 with the victory while the Flyers drop to 0-1.
Match Notables
- The Norse won on each doubles court to claim the opening point. Maria Koo and Margita Sunjic took down Natalie Allen and Paige Kompa on the top court, 6-1, while the pairings of Elizabeth Rozin/Ananya Kothakota and Hannah Watton/Katja Dijanezevic each earned a 6-3 win on their respective courts.
- Sunjic was the first to finish singles play, defeating Kelly Pleiman in No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-1.
- Rozin took down Emily Zargham on the No. 3 court in matching 6-1 sets.
- Dijanezevic delivered the clinching point out of No. 4 singles, downing Erica Wojcikiewicz, 6-1, 6-2. The senior was the only Norse to post a 2-0 record on the weekend.

The Norse host Western Kentucky in the 2020 home opener on Saturday, Jan. 25. First serve is set for 4:30 p.m. from Five Seasons Sports Club in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.
