Recruiting Process
The recruiting process went well for me. I started to get offers my senior year. During my recruiting process in high school, I had five offers from other schools, which I was very grateful for. It was a difficult decision for me to make when it came to picking a school. I decided to wait more towards the deadline to commit so that I could weigh out all of my options. My senior basketball season ended in late February/early March and I still had not decided what school I wanted to attend. I had a really good senior season, and I wanted to see if I would pick up any more offers before committing somewhere first. Just before the season ended, Coach Whitaker came to one of my last home games to watch me play and offered me a scholarship to play at NKU.

A couple of weeks later, my family and I had a home visit with Coach Whitaker on March 20th, 2019. We ate and coach had asked me if I had any questions and I said no, but I told her that I would like to verbally commit to Northern Kentucky University.

Why I chose NKU
I chose to come to NKU because there are great facilities, excellent programs for my social work major and the campus is beautiful. The coaches and my teammates really made me feel welcomed on my first visit to campus. BB&T Arena is amazing as well and there is a good fanbase. NKU is not far from my hometown and I knew it was the perfect school to attend after taking my visit.

Dealing with Adversity In Recruiting
With being such an underdog - being short, being overlooked and not having many offers in high school - I had to deal with that adversity. I continued to stay humble, like I always try to do, and to work hard. I knew the perfect opportunity would come if I continued to work hard and be myself.
