Highland Heights, Ky. – Northern Kentucky women's basketball head coach
Camryn Whitaker announced the signing of one student-athlete to join the Norse next season in the fall of 2022, Wednesday afternoon.
"Allison is going to be a great addition to our team," said Coach Whitaker.
"She brings size, physicality, scoring and rebounding on the perimeter! We couldn't be more excited to add her to the NKU family!"
Allison Basye
· A native of Chillicothe, Ohio. Attended Huntington High School where she was a four-sport student-athlete (basketball, volleyball, track, softball).
· Basye is a 5-foot-11 guard/forward who has seen her scoring average increase each season at Huntington, from 18.8 her freshman season, 23.0 her sophomore year, and 28.0 most recently in year three.
· Allison has been just as aggressive on the glass for Huntington, averaging 10.0 or more rebounds per game in each of her three seasons as well.
· Basye has accumulated plenty of accolades in just three seasons of high school ball including, three-time All-Scioto Valley Conference selection, two-time SVC Player of the Year, two-time District Player of the Year and a three-time All-Ohio selection.
The Norse began the 2021-22 campaign tonight, as Northern Kentucky will host Kent State inside BB&T Arena at 7 p.m.
