NKU forward Kailey Coffey collects another #HLWBB All-Academic Team honor

HIGHLAND HEIGHTSKy. – For the third-straight year, Northern Kentucky's Kailey Coffey has earned a spot on the Horizon League All-Academic Team, the league office announced on Thursday.

Sporting a 4.00 GPA as a Chemistry and Biochemistry Pre-Vet double major, Coffey's name has been a regular fixture when it comes to academic awards. Not only is she now a three-time Horizon League All-Academic Team honoree, but in each of the two prior years she has been a recipient of CoSIDA Academic All-District accolades. Coffey has also been named to Northern Kentucky University's President's list every semester.

On the court, Coffey has climbed NKU's record books. She currently ranks 8th all-time with 785 career rebounds, 13th with 66 blocks, 43rd with 185 assists, and 49th with 767 points, while her 106 career starts are the 9th-most by a Norse.

The native of Russell Springs, Kentucky, is averaging 6.7 points and 7.7 rebounds per game this year.

Northern Kentucky is 6-9 overall and 6-4 in Horizon League play this year. The Norse wrap up the regular season with a trip to Rochester, Michigan, where they will play Oakland on Friday, Feb. 19, and Saturday, Feb. 20.
