HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – With Horizon League action right around the corner, Northern Kentucky women's tennis is set to finish non-conference play as they take on Dayton and Cincinnati on Feb. 27 and 28, respectively.
After a loss to Xavier on Feb.12 dropped NKU to 1-1 on the season, the Norse came back strong with a 5-2 victory over Saint Francis on Feb. 20., moving the team to 2-1. Maria Koo and Elizabeth Rozin claimed victories in the No. 1 doubles match with a 6-2 win. In the No. 3 singles match, Ananya Kothakota won a three-set thriller 3-6, 7-6, 6-3.
Dayton is currently 2-5 on the season and will take on Bellarmine Friday, Feb. 26, before crossing the river to face the Norse on Saturday, Feb. 27.
A 1-3 Cincinnati squad sets their sights on in-state foe Miami (OH) on Saturday, Feb. 27, before squaring off with NKU on Sunday, Feb. 28.
The last time Northern Kentucky faced these two teams in the same season was during the 2018-19 season. NKU defeated Dayton 5-2 and lost to Cincinnati 4-0.
