UNION, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky men's golf team currently sits in third place after the first round of The Jewell. The highlight of the day was a hole-in-one by senior, Logan Griffin.
  
Team Tidbits 

• Northern Kentucky recorded a first-round score of 292, featuring six birdies and an ace for the countable scores.      

 
Individual Highpoints 

• Ty Debonis used steady play to pave the way for the Norse, shooting a one-over 72. Debonis used a solo birdie and eight pars to come in at one-under par on the front nine.   
• Griffin's first career-ace was recorded on the 145-yard, par-3 fifth hole using a pitching wedge. His hole-in-one assisted him to a 73 finish.
• Alex Doss matched Griffin's 73 and Avery Green posted a 74 to complete scoring for the Norse.
