Men’s Golf Finishes 13th at Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational

MUNCIE, Ind. – Northern Kentucky University Norse men's golf traveled to Muncie, Indiana, this weekend for the Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational, hosted by Ball State. As a team, NKU put together a solid second round, finishing four over par, but it wasn't enough to overcome poor performances in the first and third rounds, as NKU finished +28 as a team overall.

Michael Long led the Norse with a +4 tournament, including an even-par second-round performance. Long finished with nine birdies and an eagle across three rounds. Long finished in 34th place among all golfers.

Zack Beard and Grant Broughton both finished eight-over at the tournament, with Broughton recording an even-par performance in the third round.

Despite finishing six-over in round one and five-over in round three, Isaac Moody's one-under second round was the best individual round for any Norse golfer. In his second round, he recorded three birdies and an eagle. In total, Moody finished +10.

NKU is back at it in October, heading to the Tom Tontimonia Invitational hosted by Cleveland State on October 6.
