Men’s Golf finishes 10th at Xavier Invitational

CINCINNATI, Ohio – Northern Kentucky University Norse men's golf wrapped up the fall season on Monday & Tuesday at Maketewah Country Club in Cincinnati, competing in the Xavier Invitational. The Norse finished 10th out of 12 competing teams at the competition, as Isaac Moody led the way among NKU individuals. 

The highlight of the tournament for NKU was Moody's remarkable second round, in which he went even on the 70-par course. An eagle on the first hole marked his second of the day, as he also posted one on hole seven in round one. However, Moody struggled in round three, posting a 78, including a four-over-par hole 11. Overall, Moody finished tied for 26th with a +13 at the invitational. 

Next up for the Norse was Micah Bertram, who finished +15 at the tournament with five birdies, including three in round two. Overall, Bertram posted scored of 75-73-77, and finished tied for 35th. 

Caleb Eaglin (T-46, +17), Zack Beard (T-56, +21), and Brady Holmes (T-68, +28) rounded out the group of scoring players for NKU. Eaglin posted 74's in rounds one and three, but struggled in round two with a 79.
