Highland Heights, Ky. – Northern Kentucky's women's tennis will compete against the Vikings of Cleveland State April 17 and 18, at the Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion in Cleveland, Ohio. Both matches are set to start at 10 a.m.

NKU is coming off of a weekend sweep over Oakland to now sit 3-1 in conference play. On Saturday, Maria Koo and Laura Grau (No. 1) shutout their opponents to claim the doubles point for the Norse. Koo (No. 2) then defeated her opponent 6-1, 6-2 followed by Grau (No. 4) winning 6-2, 7-5. Overall, the Norse claimed the match 5-2.

On Sunday, the Norse couldn't keep the momentum going in doubles play, but made up for it in singles action. The Norse won four of their matches in a row, starting with Sylvia Gray (No. 5) 6-0 6-1, followed by Ananya Kothakota (No. 4) 6-0 7-5, and then Koo (No. 2) clinching the match 6-3 6-1. Margita Sunjic (No. 1) won 6-2 6-4.

The Vikings currently sit at 6-9 overall, and 4-4 in conference play. Their last set of games came against IUPUI, winning both matches 7-0. Cleveland State was tabbed to finish third in the Horizon League preseason poll.

In the last meeting between the two teams on April 13, 2019, the Norse fell to the Vikings 4-3.
