Highland Heights, Ky. – Northern Kentucky women's tennis will compete against the Penguins of Youngstown State April 24-25, at the Lindner Tennis Center at Lunken in Cincinnati.
NKU is coming off tough losses at Cleveland State, losing Saturday 5-2 and Sunday 6-1. Despite the pair of setbacks,
Sylvia Gray picked up points each day, defeating her opponent Saturday 6-3, 0-6, 6-1, and Sunday 6-4, 6-3. The Norse are 6-5 overall and 3-3 in conference play.
The Penguins currently sit at 14-8 overall, and 7-1 in conference play. Their last set of games came against UIC, splitting a couple weekend matchups with a 7-0 loss on Saturday and 4-3 win on Sunday. Youngstown State was tabbed to finish second in the Horizon League preseason poll.
In the last meeting between the two teams on April 12, 2019, the Penguins defeated the Norse 5-2.
