HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky women's tennis continues Horizon League play at home Saturday and Sunday against the Golden Grizzlies of Oakland. Both matches are set for an 11 a.m. start at the Lindner Tennis Center at Lunken.
In their last time out, the Norse split the series against Milwaukee on March 27 and 28, winning 6-1 on Saturday and falling 5-2 on Sunday. On Saturday, Ananya Kathakota and
Elizabeth Rozin beat their doubles opponents 7-5, and
Maria Koo and Laura Grau also matched their scores. In singles play,
Sylvia Gray shut out her opponent by identical 6-0 scores, followed by
Margita Sunjic earning the next point for the Norse, winning 6-4, 6-4.
Maria Koo finished off her opponent 6-2, 6-2 to secure the team victory for the Norse.
The Golden Grizzlies are 2-12 overall this season and sit at 2-4 in league play. Their last time out was April 3 and 4 at Cleveland State, getting swept both days.
The last matchup between Northern Kentucky and Oakland came on April 20, 2019, with the Norse falling to the Golden Grizzlies, 5-2.
