HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The full 2021-22 Northern Kentucky women's basketball nonconference schedule has been finalized head coach Camryn Whitaker announced on Friday. The seven-game nonconference slate compliments NKU's 22-game Horizon League schedule.
 
"Our team is extremely excited to have the opportunity to get back on the court after a year of many unknowns," said head coach Camryn Whitaker. "The coaching staff has put together a schedule we feel will prepare us for Horizon League play and our quest for a conference championship!"
 
Norse Nation will get its first look at the 2021-22 Norse in a Nov. 1 exhibition against Pikeville.
 
The regular-season then kicks off with home contests against Kent State on Nov. 10 and Eastern Kentucky on Nov. 18. After the start of Horizon League action the weekend of Nov. 18, the Norse play on the road at both Miami (Ohio) and Central Arkansas on Nov. 24 and 27, respectively. 
 
Following another weekend of Horizon League play, the Norse embark on their final three nonconference contests. NKU hosts Kentucky State on Dec. 8. Then, Dec. 11 and 20 matchups at Saint Louis and Wofford respectively await Northern Kentucky as its final non-league games. 
 
Northern Kentucky welcomes back second-team all-Horizon League performer Lindsey Duval 16.9 ppg, 7.8 rpg), third-team member Ivy Turner (11.2 ppg) and all-defensive team honoree Grayson Rose (7.7 pgg, 1.4 bpg). Including Carissa Garcia and her 8.3 ppg, the Norse return four of the team's top-five scorers. NKU is coming off of an 8-11 campaign in which it went 7-5 in the Horizon League, marking the sixth-best winning percentage in the conference.
