KETTERING, Ohio – The Northern Kentucky women's golf program battled dropping temperatures and wind during the opening day of the Flyer Invitational from the NCR Country Club - North Course hosted by the University of Dayton.
Leading the Norse through a chilling day one of the Flyer Invitational was junior
Abby Cook who currently sits in a tie for sixth place overall after shooting a 77 in round one. Cook posted birdies on holes two and four during her opening round to hold down a top ten spot in the individual rankings.
Reagan Nolan also turned in a solid overall performance with an 81 overall to currently sit in a tie for 21st place.
Northern Kentucky fought the elements today as playing conditions were not ideal and the wind made the greens very difficult to hold. The Norse look to regroup tonight an adjust to any and all weather conditions tomorrow to produce the best round possible.
