HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Horizon League office announced Tuesday afternoon that Northern Kentucky's Manny Vorhees was selected as the Nike #HLBASE Batter of the Week.

The Wapakoneta, Ohio native, saw action at third base during the past series against No. 7 ranked Mississippi State. Vorhees helped lead the Norse to an upset victory of the nationally ranked Bullodgs in game one at 7-6. Manny went 3-for-5 in that game with two doubles, one RBI and two runs scored. 

Vorhees finished the week hitting .417 overall with five total hits, three runs scored, three doubles, a slugging percentage of .667 and an on-base percentage of .500 for Northern Kentucky. 

Northern Kentucky Baseball plays a pair of nonconference games at home at Bill Aker Baseball Complex this week, first against Butler on Tuesday, March 1 at 2 p.m. (ET) and then Wednesday, March 2 versus Xavier at 2 p.m. (ET) as well.
