INDIANAPOLIS – The Northern Kentucky women's volleyball program saw one student-athlete honored as the Horizon League released its 2023 Valeo All-Academic Team Tuesday afternoon. The graduate senior was named to the conference's All-Academic Team after her incredible performance both on the court and inside the classroom.
Burke, a libero from Louisville, Kentucky, has had herself a phenomenal 2023 season on the court as she ranks fourth overall in three categories in the conference. Anna is fourth in service aces with 44, fourth in digs with 531 overall and fourth in the Horizon League in digs per set 4.70 as well.
She is currently working towards her master's degree in athletic training from Northern Kentucky University with a graduate grade point average of 3.75 overall as well. Burke earned her bachelor's degree from NKU as well in health and human services.
Northern Kentucky volleyball will now look ahead to the 2023 Horizon League Championship Tournament which saw its field become complete with the final matches of the regular season came to a close. NKU will be the No. 4 seed in the #HLVB Tournament and match up against No. 5 seed Oakland with a Quarterfinal match scheduled for Friday, November 17 at 6 p.m. (ET). This year's conference tournament will be held on the campus of Wright State inside C.J. McLin Gymnasium in Dayton, Ohio.
