HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – After a standout showing at the Commonwealth College Opener against some of the best squads in the country, Northern Kentucky's Meredith Goff was named the Horizon League's Under Armour Women's Runner of the Week, made official by league offices on Tuesday.
 
Goff went off at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center down in Louisville, Kentucky this past weekend as the Milford, Ohio native placed second in the 200-meter dash and ninth in the 60-meter dash at NKU's opening meet of the indoor campaign.
 
With the performance, Goff leads the Horizon with the top time in the 200 (24.53) and is tied for first overall in the 60 (7.65). She also set a school record with her showing in the 60.
 
On the national scene, Goff is ranked fifth in all of NCAA Division I track & field in the 200 and is tied for 50th in the 60.
 
The Norse will take a short break from competition with finals and the holidays on the horizon before returning with the Bellarmine Open on Friday, January 19 as the calendar officially flips to 2024.
