HUNTINGTON, W. Va. – The Northern Kentucky track and field program put up a solid showing to open its time at the 2023 Marshall Invitational, hosted at the Chris Cline Athletics Complex on Friday night.
 
The women scored 22 points in total to go with a personal best performance, while the men put up a point of their own to open their stay at the two-day meet.

NOTABLES
- The women's distance medley relay of Olivia Kennedy, Joi Bradley, Jade Stinson and Jacquelyn Witt won the finals with a best time of 12:25.28. The showing was the fastest mark posted by a Horizon League program so far this season in the event. The performance also ranks fourth all-time in school history.
- Sophia DeLisio claimed fourth place in the women's 5000-meters with a time of 17:55.86.
- The NKU women put on a show in the high jump as Julia Pohl paced the group with a best mark of 1.63m to take fourth overall. Emma Hopkins was right behind in seventh with a personal record of 1.53m.
- The NKU men also placed three in the top-12 of the men's 5000-meters. Owen Mathews paced the group with his time of 16:10.69 to claim eighth in the event.
 
NEXT UP
NKU will be right back to it with the conclusion of the Marshall Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 11. The field portion of the meet will get underway at 10:30 AM ET, while the track slate will begin at 11 AM. Fans and supporters can follow along in real-time with the live results here.
