BATAVIA, Ohio – The Northern Kentucky women's golf program began play at their own home tournament, the NKU Spring Invitational, "The Julie," Monday afternoon from the Elks Run Golf Course in Batavia, Ohio.
The Norse were led today by sophomore
Gracie Baun through the opening round with an overall score of 72. Baun is currently in a tie for sixth on the leaderboard and ranked third in Par 4 average scoring at 4.09 overall. Additionally Baun totaled 11 Pars at Elks Run and three Birdies on holes five, nine and 14.
Junior
Emmanuelle Hewson also turned in a solid performance at The Julie, as she is currently in a tie for 10th with a score of 74. Hewson recorded two Birdies on holes eight and 14 to help anchor Northern Kentucky and ranked third in scoring average on both Par 3s (3.00) and Par 4s (4.09).
