Women's Basketball Signs EKU Standout

HIGHLAND HEIGHTSKy. – Northern Kentucky women's basketball head coach Camryn Whitaker announced the signing of another high-level talent transfer to join the Norse women's basketball program in the fall of 2023. 

Kalissa Lacy completed the proper paperwork to officially come on board Northern Kentucky Basketball, joining the Norse after spending the previous two seasons each at Eastern Kentucky University. 

"We are very excited to add Kalissa to our NKU family," said head coach Camryn Whitaker. "She brings experience, IQ and the ability to knock down shots from the perimeter. Norse Nation will love watching her play!"
 
KALISSA LACY
  • Lacy is a 5-foot-9 guard from Charleston, West Virginia, where she attended George Washington High School. 
    • Assisted the basketball program to a 73-40 overall record
    • Averaged 22.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.4 assists during her senior season
    • Won both sectional and regional championship in that senior year as well 
    • Named West Virginia Sports News Player of the Year, MSAC Conference Player of the Year, First-Team MSAC Conference honors and Kanawha Valley Player of the Year 
  • Spent the last two seasons with the Eastern Kentucky Colonels (2021-23) 
    • Appeared in 61 total games over two years with EKU
    • Ranked third on the team in made 3-pointers her sophomore season
    • Posted nine double-digit scoring games during her sophomore season 
    • Career-high points (17) vs. Midway (11/23/22)
    • Career-high rebounds (5) at No. 23 Tennessee (11/27/22)
  • Daughter of Karen & Jerry Lacy; has one brother DJ
  • Looking to continue studying Physical Therapy while attending Northern Kentucky University
