Ky. – Northern Kentucky women's basketball head coach
Camryn Whitaker announced the signing of standout high school star Madison French to join the Norse women's basketball program in the fall of 2023.
"Madison is a great addition to our already talented freshman class," Coach Whitaker discussed. "She brings a level of toughness, intelligence and pure basketball ability to our team. We recruited her previously and are extremely happy she chose to join us at NKU!"
MADISON FRENCH
- 5-foot-11 guard from Liberty Township, Ohio, where she recently graduated from Lakota East High School
- Played in 91 games during her high school basketball career, posting a 23-4 record during her senior season
- Averaged 12.2 points, 2.9 assists and 2.4 rebounds per game in 2022-23
- Helped lead the Thunderhawks to both a Sectional and District Championship
- Named First Team Great Miami Conference, First Team All-District and was a District 15 All-Star selection
- Scored over 1,000 career points during her four years at Lakota East
- Led LEHS to a #8 overall ranking in the state of Ohio
- Most recently played for Brooks Hall and the Sports City Angels summer club team (formerly known as Ohio Elite) out of Dayton, Ohio
- Daughter of Jessica and Shawn French; Has three siblings, Alaina, Hailey and Kyle
