HUNTINGTON, WV – The Northern Kentucky track & field program opened the 2024 Marshall Invitational with a bang as
Julia Pohl took the gold in the women's high jump and
Colton O'Hara claimed first overall in the men's 5000-meter race at the Jeff Small Track at the Chris Cline Athletic Complex on Friday evening.

Julia Pohl won the women's high jump with a best leap of 1.60-meters.
- Madison Neary was right behind in the event to take fifth overall at 1.55-meters.

Colton O'Hara closed out the evening with another Norse victory, this time in the men's 5000-meter, as he blazed the track in 14:49.39.

Summit Northrup (15:48.01) and Daniel Basta (16:48.12) also took to the line in the men's 5000-meter as they crossed the line in 10th and 23rd respectively.

The Norse will conclude their stay at the Marshall Invitational with a jam-packed Saturday on February 10. Field events will get underway at 10 AM ET while the track portion of the schedule will start at 11 AM. The final day of the meet with be
streamed nationwide on ESPN+. Live coverage will begin at 10:55 AM.
