YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Northern Kentucky men's and women's track & field teams put on a show on the opening day of the 2024 Horizon League Indoor Championships, hosted by Youngstown State at the Watson and Tressel Training Site on Saturday.
Highlights included school records by
Erin Starks and Layla Henderson and four student-athletes punched their ticket to Championship Sunday across five events, along with countless personal bests.

NOTABLES
- Jordan Archie just missed out on a spot in the finals of the women's 400-meter dash as she claimed ninth overall at the prelims with a personal best of 58.44.
- Charlie Casey took 10
th in the men's 60-meter hurdles prelims with a personal record of 9.31.

Meredith Goff claimed 12
th-overall in the women's 60-meter prelims with a mark of 7.73.

Kierra Morris placed 13
th-overall in the women's long jump finals with a best leap of 5.49-meters. She just missed out on a new personal best with the performance.

Sophia DeLisio ran to a 13
th-place finish in the women's 5000-meter finals with a time of 17:48.7.
- Aaron Silva crossed the line in 14
th in the men's 400-meter prelims. He dropped a time of 52.62 in the event.

Colton O'Hara paced the Norse in the men's 5000-meter finals with a 15
th-place finish that featured a personal best of 14:55.73.
Summit Northrup won his heat and took 18
th overall at 15:28.97. Northrup also set a personal record in the event by nearly 20 seconds.

Thomas Gray-Torsell came in 15
th in the men's 800-meter prelims and just missed out on a PR with a time of 1:58.73.
NEXT UP
The Norse are right back to it for Championship Sunday at the Horizon League Indoor Championships on February 25. The field portion of the schedule will get underway at 9:15 AM ET while the track portion will follow at 1 PM. The
meet will be seen by a national audience on ESPN+. Coverage begins at 12:55 PM.
