LOUISVILLE – The Northern Kentucky women's track & field program continued to take strides with the Horizon League Indoor Championships just around the corner as the Norse placed ninth overall with 23.33 points at the 2024 PNC Bank Bellarmine Classic on Friday.

Julia Pohl continued her standout season with a third-place finish in the women's high jump with a best leap of 1.65-meters.

Meredith Goff had a stellar day as she claimed fourth overall in the women's 200-meter dash (24.58) and ninth in the women's 60-meter dash (7.70.)

Erin Starks ran to a fourth-place finish in the women's 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.83.
- The women's 4x400 relay groups put on a show as the A team came in fifth overall at 3:56.08 while the B squad came in at ninth at 4:03.38.

Kierra Morris finished seventh in the women's long jump with a best mark of 5.39-meters.

Olivia Kennedy placed 10th overall in the women's 800-meter race at 2:16.81.
- The best performance from the men's squad came in the 3000-meter event as
Natnael Weldemichael took ninth overall with a time of 8:25.44 while
Colton O'Hara was right behind in 11th at 8:27.80. Both times were personal bests.
- While the women's side competed with a full group, the men's squad did not race all of their student-athletes on Friday.
- With their strong showing, the Norse women's squad finished ahead of teams from Western Kentucky, Tennessee State, Southern Illinois, Jacksonville State, Xavier, Eastern Kentucky, IUPUI and Southern Indiana, amongst others.

The Norse will get right back to it next weekend with the final regular season meet of the indoor season with the two-day Marshall Invitational that runs Friday, February 9 through Saturday, February 10 in Huntington, West Virginia at the Jeff Small Track at the Chris Cline Athletic Complex. The meet will be
ran in front of a national audience on ESPN+.
