Women's Hoops adds Toledo to non-conference slate

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky women's basketball team will be battle tested once Horizon League play begins during the 2024-25 season, as the Norse are set to travel north and take on Toledo in November.

The meeting, set to take place Sunday, November 17 inside Savage Arena, marks the first ever between the Norse and Rockets.

With a roster full of talented faces both old and new, head coach Jeff Hans and staff are preparing the Norse for a return to championship glory. NKU is now set to face opponents from three different conferences in the early part of the season.

Toledo has been a powerhouse in recent years, but enters a new era of their own in 2024-25 with Ginny Boggess taking over the Rockets' women's basketball program. Boggess spent the previous three seasons as the head coach at Monmouth University.

The Rockets have won 86 games in the past three seasons, dominating the MAC with a 52-4 record in conference play.
