Bray earns #HLVB Player of the Week nod

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – After helping lead the Norse to another 2-0 weekend, Northern Kentucky University Norse women's volleyball junior Sydney Bray earned Horizon League Player of the Week honors on Monday.

"Syd had a great weekend in all aspects of her game," said head coach Liz Hart. "Our team did a nice job of being aggressive at the end and finishing the sets."

The Norse took down Milwaukee in both matches this weekend, taking just seven sets to beat the Panthers. Bray played an integral role in each victory, posting 13 kills on Friday and 15 on Saturday. Across both matches, she averaged 4.0 kills per set on a .246 hitting percentage. She also recorded 12 digs, an ace, and two blocks on the weekend.

Bray has been a key piece on the Norse all season, as she's second on the squad in kills with 199, and is hitting .224 on the season. Defensively, she's racked up 56 total blocks, third on the team, and is second on the squad in digs with 179.

Catch Bray and the Norse this weekend at Regents Hall, as the Norse take on Robert Morris on Friday at 6 PM and Saturday at 2 PM. Get your tickets today at nkunorse.com/tickets.
