CLINTON LAKE, Ill. - The Northern Kentucky University Norse women's triathlon team made history today by winning the Millikin Splash & Dash. The win is the program's first in its young two-year history as a program at NKU. The Norse finished with five scoring finishers in the top 10 and all seven finishers inside the top 13. The 500m swim and two-mile run kicked off the final regular season race weekend for the Norse, who are back in action again Saturday.
"All the credit goes to these strong young women who took on the challenge of joining this young program," said head coach Brooks Doughtie. "They have really dedicated themselves to the sport and to each other and I'm excited for the future here at NKU!"
