HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky University Norse women's soccer earned six selections to the CSC Academic All-District team, the association announced on Tuesday.
Seniors
Meghan Belrose,
Alyssa Carnes,
Emilie Doersching, and
Megan Gessner earned the distinction, as did juniors
Megan Molner and
Sophia Kapszukiewicz.
Belrose earned a spot on the Horizon League All-League First Team this season, following a remarkable senior campaign where she recorded six assists and scored a goal. A political Science major, Belrose currently holds a 3.80 GPA and is a multiple-time selection to the President's Honors list, Dean's list, and Horizon League Honor Roll.
Defender
Alyssa Carnes was also an All-League First Team selection, appearing and starting in all 19 of NKU's matches. She was the anchor of the league's best scoring defense and led NKU in minutes played with 1648. Carnes is an exercise science major and is a multiple-time dean's list and Horizon League Honor Roll selection.
Forward
Emilie Doersching made 19 appearances and 16 starts in the 2025 season, scoring three goals and setting up four. She ranked fourth on the squad in total points with ten. Doersching, a marketing major from Lake Barrington, Illinois, is a four-time dean's list selection and a four-time Horizon League Honor Roll selection, currently standing with a GPA of 3.59.
Fort Thomas native
Megan Gessner earned the distinction after starting every match in between the sticks for NKU and earning Horizon League All-League second team honors. A finance major, Gessner posted a GPA of 3.66 and has been named to the dean's list, president's honors list, scholar's list, and Horizon League Honor Roll.
Forward
Megan Molner, who scored eight goals in 2025, also earned the All-District honor. Molner earned Horizon League Player of the Week honors and ranked fifth in the Horizon League in goals scored, and led the conference with four game-winning goals. Molner is an exercise science major who currently holds a 3.65 GPA and is a two-time Honor Roll selection.
Sophia Kapszukiewicz, a junior defender from Loveland, Ohio, earned Horizon League All-League Second Team honors in 2025, her first all-league selection. Kapszukiewicz started in all 19 matches for NKU and ranked second on the team in minutes played. She's a Computer Science major who has earned multiple Horizon League honor roll selections over her career.
