HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky University Norse baseball announced its schedule for the upcoming 2026 season on Wednesday, as NKU eyes another run at the Horizon League title.
NKU leads off its season in Columbia, South Carolina, taking on the Gamecocks for its first three-game series of the season, from February 13-15. Then, Northern Kentucky takes on Eastern Kentucky in Richmond on February 17. The following weekend, NKU heads to the Big Easy for a three-game set in New Orleans from February 20-22, first against ULM, then New Orleans, and wrap up the away stand against Alabama A&M.
The Norse play the first of their 24 home contests on February 24, hosting Morehead State for a 2 PM first pitch. NKU's first home series of the year will be held from February 27 to March 1, as NKU hosts the Panthers of Eastern Illinois.
NKU hits the road again for four straight games against power conference opponents, first against Indiana, a squad the Norse took down last year in Bloomington by a score of 13 to 11. Then, the Norse head back down south to Tallahassee, taking on Florida State in a three-game set from March 6 to 8.
The Norse return home on March 10 to host Toledo, before starting Horizon League play with a series against Milwaukee from March 13 to 15. The Norse then travel west to Louisville on the midweek, taking on the Cardinals at 6 PM on March 17. NKU then has its first road Horizon League series of the year, playing Oakland from March 20 to 22.
Northern Kentucky comes back to Friendship Field on March 24 for a matchup with Bellarmine, before another home Horizon League series against Youngstown State from March 27 to 29.
On March 31, the Norse head back west to Louisville, taking on Bellarmine in the return game from a week prior. NKU then takes on Wright State from April 2 to 4 in Dayton.
The Norse then play five straight non-conference games, starting in Knoxville on April 7, as NKU faces off with Tennessee. Then, Northern Kentucky hosts UNC Greensboro for a three-game series, playing the Spartans from April 10-12. NKU then battles the Bobcats of Ohio on April 14 at the Bill Aker Baseball Complex. The Norse then resume Horizon League play in Milwaukee, going up against the Panthers from April 17 to 19.
NKU heads to Athens for a midweek matchup with the Bobcats on April 21, before hosting Oakland for a three-game set from April 24-26. NKU wraps up its April schedule on April 28, as the Norse host Eastern Kentucky.
NKU kicks off the final month of its schedule in Youngstown for a series with the Penguins from March 1 to 3. The Norse host Miami (Hamilton) on May 5, before ending Horizon League play at home against Wright State, from May 8 to 10. The Norse wrap up the regular season on the road, first in Lexington on May 12 against Kentucky, before their final series of the year against USC Upstate from May 14-16 in Spartanburg. The Horizon League Tournament will be played from May 20-23, with a host to be determined.
