HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky University Norse softball revealed its 2026 schedule on Monday, with the Norse set for another run at the Horizon League title.
The Norse open the season in Montgomery, Alabama, at the Stinger Classic hosted by Alabama State from February 5-7. Then, the Norse head to Chapel Hill for the Carolina Classic, hosted by the University of North Carolina from February 13-15. The Norse then head to Louisville for another multi-game event, at Bellarmine from February 21-22.
In March, the Norse return to Louisville for a one-off midweek game with the Cardinals on March 3. Northern Kentucky then travels down to Richmond for another multi-game event at Eastern Kentucky, from March 6-8. NKU opens up its home portion of the schedule on March 10, taking on Valparaiso in a doubleheader before playing Morehead State on March 11. NKU will then host eight games over three days at Frank Ignatius Grein Field, hosting Northwestern, Northern Iowa, and Detroit Mercy from March 13-15. NKU continues its homestand on March 17 against Miami, and then opens Horizon League play against Oakland, with a game on March 20 before a doubleheader on March 21.
Following its extended homestand, the Norse hit the road for seven straight, first with a non-conference battle against Dayton on March 24, then a pair of trips to Youngstown State (March 27 & 28) and Green Bay (April 3 & 4). NKU returns home for an eight-game homestand, taking on Robert Morris from April 10-11, then Kentucky on April 15, Evansville on April 21, and wrap up the home portion of their schedule against Detroit Mercy on April 24 & 25. The Norse end the regular season in Indianapolis, taking on IU Indy on May 1 & 2. The Horizon League Championship will be held from May 6-9.
