"We are excited that Sam has chosen Northern Kentucky University as her next home," said Norse head coach Jeff Hans. "We feel that her ability to defend and score at the rim will make us better. Sam brings valuable experience from a highly successful program, which has prepared her to contribute to our team. Norse Nation will love how hard she plays!"

Lindhorst, a 5'9" guard from Waterloo, Ill., arrives to the Norse for the 2025-26 season after two seasons at Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, Ill. An NJCAA DII Third Team All-American in 2025, Lindhorst averaged 13.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.6 steals, and 3.4 assists per game in her sophomore campaign.

Lindhorst's 124 steals ranked fifth in the country last season, and the senior also ranked inside the top 50 in the nation in points and assists. This past season, she helped lead her squad to a 34-3 record, a MWAC Conference championship, the NJCAA Region 24 Tournament Championship, and a fifth-place finish at the NJCAA National Championship.

In her freshman campaign with the Loggers, Lindhorst averaged 10.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 2.7 steals per contest. The team's assist leader and fourth-leading scorer, Lindhorst helped Lincoln Land win 28 games, an NJCAA Region 24 title, and an elite eight appearance at the NJCAA National Championships in 2023-24.
