"We are excited to add Taysha to the Norse family," said Norse head coach Jeff Hans. "She brings a wealth of experience to the perimeter. Taysha has won many games at various levels, and we believe that her athleticism and dynamic play will help us take the next step with our program!"

Rushton, a 5'5" guard from Midland, Texas, most recently played at The University of Texas Permian Basin (UTPB), an NCAA DII program in the Lone Star Conference. At UTPB, Rushton earned Conference Newcomer of the Year honors after a stellar season with the Falcons, averaging 16.8 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.7 steals per game.

The senior had some incredible performances throughout the season, with the best being a 38-point effort in a win over Texas A&M Kingsville on December 7. Rushton went eight for ten from beyond the arc in the win, adding five assists, two steals, and three rebounds.

Her 38-point night was just one of ten games in which Rushton scored 20 or more points in a game, which she accomplished with balanced scoring. Just over 50% of her 434 total shot attempts were from beyond the arc, where she shot 34.09% on the year. Rushton also showcased an ability to get to the line and knock down her free throws, attempting 121 on the year (4.2 per game) and hitting them at a 78.5% clip.

Rushton's lone season with the Falcons was one of their best single-season efforts in program history, as she finished third in points in a season (486), fourth in made field goals (158), and finished tied for sixth in field goals made (75).

Before her time at UTPB, Rushton played for four seasons at Concordia (Neb.), where she was named an NAIA Second-Team All-American with the Bulldogs in 2024. Rushton finished second in her conference in scoring in 2023-24, averaging 15.2 points per game on 42.8% from the floor and 36.7% from beyond the arc.

Over her career with the Bulldogs, Rushton totaled 1,924 total points, 348 assists, 407 rebounds, and 213 steals.
