HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. — Northern Kentucky baseball had a pair of student-athletes be named Academic All-Americans this week, as both Logen Devenport and Tyler Shaneyfelt were named Third Team Academic All-Americans by College Sports Communicators (CSC). 

Since 1952, CSC has recognized student-athletes for their exceptional on and off the field pursuits. Devenport and Shaneyfelt are two of just 33 Division I student-athletes to be named Baseball Academic All-Americans in 2025. 

Logen Devenport was named to the Horizon League's First Team following a spectacular 2025 season. Despite his season being cut short, Devenport became the first Horizon League player in six years to finish the year with a batting average above .400, launching 14 homers and a team-best 19 doubles to go along with 54 RBI. Devenport also stole 19 bases on the year. Devenport was named to the Horizon League Honor Roll as an exercise science major. 

Tyler Shaneyfelt was named to the Horizon League's Second Team at second base, and has been playing professionally for the Florence Y'alls since graduating. In his final collegiate season, Shaneyfelt was among the best super utility players in the country. He started 55 games, stealing 34 bases, scoring 77 runs, with 42 walks to just 36 strikeouts while playing nearly every position on the field. Shaneyfelt made the Horizon League Honor Roll as an interdisciplinary studies major.
