NKU NIL Beer Unveiled at Barleycorn’s Brewhouse

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky University Athletics and Barleycorn's Brewhouse unveiled Norse Up on Tuesday evening, a new, fan-named beer created through a collaborative effort that offers a unique way to support Norse Athletics. The name, Norse Up, was chosen by fans as part of a community voting contest held by NKU and Barleycorn's.

Norse Up is a 5% ABV light lager and will be available at Barleycorn's restaurants, Barleycorn's Brewhouse, and at Truist Arena during Norse men's and women's basketball home games this season. As part of this partnership, 10% of all Norse Up sales will go directly to NKU Athletics' Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) program, providing meaningful support to our student-athletes.

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING
Shane Trego, Brewmaster, Barleycorn's Brewhouse:
"This beer was truly shaped by Norse Nation, from the name to the flavor. We set out to make something that felt connected to the fans and the university, and it's been great seeing that come to life. We're proud to be part of this partnership and excited to start pouring at Truist Arena this season."

Jay Shelton, CEO, Barleycorn's:
"Barleycorn's has been part of this community for over 50 years, so getting to partner with NKU in a way that directly supports student-athletes is something we're really proud of. Christina Roybal, Vice President and Director of Athletics, Northern Kentucky University:
