HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – With women's volleyball season just a few days away, the Horizon League announced its preseason poll on Wednesday. Northern Kentucky is slated to finish sixth in the coaches' poll in the 2025 season, coming off an 11-18 (7-11) campaign in 2024.
The Norse return six of nine student-athletes who played in every match in 2024, including Horizon League All-Freshman Team selection
Allison Risley, who's coming off a 274 kill debut season. Libero
Lucy Cluxton, another key returner, racked up 534 digs, ranking fifth in the Horizon League. Sophomore setter
Lainey Green returns after a 554-assist season, leading last year's Norse squad and ranking tenth in the Horizon League. Outside hitters
Sydney Bray and
Ava Hoying ranked third and fourth on the team in kills, respectively. Middle blocker
Ivey Stocks racked up 83 total blocks, ranked second on the Norse and eleventh in the Horizon League.
