CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky University Norse women's tennis battled Thomas More on Saturday evening, aiming for their first win of 2026. NKU did just that, taking down the Saints 6-1 in Crestview Hills.
The Norse swept the doubles competition, as
Alyssa Cameron and
Sydney Zakic took their match 6-1, as did
Didi Steenhuis and
Cassia Adamowsky.
Haley Slay and
Catharina Cardoso won their set, 6-4, to complete the doubles sweep.
In singles play, NKU's only loss came in the first slot, as
Darya Gneidina fell 6-3, 6-4.
Alyssa Cameron took her match 6-0, 6-3, in the #2 slot.
Sydney Zakic notched a point for the Norse witha 6-3, 6-1 victory, while
Aaditi Bhat grabbed another with a 6-1, 6-3 win.
Haley Slay swept both of her sets, while
Caroline Van Der Riet won 6-0, 6-2 to clinch a 6-1 win for NKU.
