YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Northern Kentucky University Norse track & field completed the Horizon League Indoor Championships on Sunday, as three Northern Kentucky runners claimed individual titles, while records were smashed and the Norse men posted a program-best finish as a team.
Olivia Kennedy claimed the first Horizon League title on the day, repeating as 800m champion and besting her record-breaking time from a year-prior.
Cameron Bitterman then narrowly secured a 200m title, winning by less than a tenth of a second, while
Natnael Weldemichael capped the day for the Norse with a 3000m championship after winning the 5K race on Saturday evening. Weldemichael went on to be named Outstanding Running Performer of the meet, becoming NKU's first-ever winner of the award at the indoor meet on either the men's or women's side.
As a team, the Norse men recorded a program-best 5th-place finish with a program-best 51 total points at the meet. The Northern Kentucky women finished in 5th as well, scoring 68 total points.

Natnael Weldemichael claimed his second conference title of the meet, as he cruised to a victory in the 3000m run, winning by over three seconds and finishing in 8:14.77.

Colton O'Hara finished in fourth place in the 3000m run, as he clocked a time of 8:19.25. It marked a new personal best for the senior.

Bash Hedger ran a 7.01 in the 60m final, posting the fastest freshman time at the meet and recording a fourth-place finish.

Josh Brockman finished fourth in the heptathlon, scoring 4469 total points. He had his best finish in the final event on Sunday, finishing second in the 1000m run with a time of 2:49.93.

Osayi Ogbebor finished eighth in the high jump, clearing 1.92m on his first go. The freshman also competed in the 60m hurdles final, where he earned points with an eighth-place finish, clocking in at 8.63.

Camden Pawlick finished seventh in the shot put, recording a best throw of 14.18m, which he did on his final attempt. It marked a new personal best for Pawlick, whose previous best was 13.36m.

Cameron Bitterman took the title in the 200m run, running a 24.35, just less than a tenth ahead of second place. Her time of 24.35 just edged her personal best of 24.37. Bitterman also posted a third-place finish in the 400m final, as she ran a 55.50 in the race. That time also marked a personal best and was just two tenths of a second shy of a new NKU record.

Olivia Kennedy claimed her second consecutive indoor conference title in the 800m run, as she finished in 2:10.88, over a second and a half ahead of second place. She bested her championship record of 2:12.04, which she set last year.

Meredith Goff finished third in a pair of events, first in the 60m dash, where she ran a 7.60, and then in the 200m run, where she finished at 24.61. Her 60m time was just one-hundredth of a second shy of tying her own school record.

Maggie Foust finished in eighth in the 3000m run, finishing in 10:02.69 and posting the second-fastest freshman time. Foust set a new collegiate best with the run, beating her previous best by nearly 20 seconds.

Madison Neary finished eighth in the high jump, crossing 1.62m on her final attempt. It marked a new collegiate best for the senior.

Lacey Klare finished eighth in the 60m hurdles final, running an 8.95.
